MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

The Kanawha Valley Astronomical Society is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the promotion of amateur astronomy in and around the Charleston, West Virginia area. A Regular/Family Membership is open to all individuals 18 years of age or older. Family Memberships includes immediate family only. A student membership is also available at reduced cost. Our meetings are held at Mathes Hall (St. Matthews Episcopal Church) on the third Friday of each month at 7:30 PM. By joining, members agree to abide by club rules and bylaws.

Note: Full dues are assessed for new members enrolling through July 31 of each year. Members enrolling August 1 and after will be assessed half the normal rate. Dues are on a calendar- year basis and should be paid by March 1 of each year.

* Each regular / family membership has full voting privileges for the regular member. All family members are entitled to attend all society activities and meetings.

** A student membership is non-voting but is entitled to attend all society meetings and events
