Club Meeting

The meeting was
called to order by Chuck Spann.
Rodney is working night shifts.
Chuck updated us on the progress of the electrical upgrades:
The breakers are installed and have been tested with a tester; everything is working the way it should.
They took down the electrical box and there is no power at the observatory right now.
The electrical upgrades were inspected by Appalachian Inspection Services and passed inspection.
A Star party was held last week for 4-H , Rodney gave a talk and the skies clouded up and
the 4-H’rs left.
Rick Archer presented the Treasurer’s report:
Both CD’s matured in May. $4,300 in the bank. The larger CD was rolled into a new cd for 7 months at 5.1%
As we agreed, the smaller CD was rolled into our checking
account
Checking account: $2337.19
New CD: $1565.96
At this point, we
have plenty of cash to cover expenses for the rest of the year. It looks like Bob Frostick’s original
estimate of $800 was pretty close. The final cost was $714.
Larry Bailey discussed the “55thAnniversery of the
Flatwoods Monster and flying Saucer event” he was promoting.

Starquest is July 4,5,6,7
