Board Election Of Officers
Rodney Waugh new president
Chuck Spann new vice president
Rick Archer, continues on as treasurer
Patricia Shaffer, continues on as secretary
Rodney Waugh would like to thank Curt Spivey and Lee Hanz for their service.

Program Committee
Rodney asked for a list of committee members. Ron Buckalew reported the board members
present at his house for meetings were Janet Wilson, Lee & Curt Hanz, Patricia Shaffer and
Melissa Thorner.
Rodney also asked for a list of the monthly programs and to have this list in e-mail form for the
membership. Melissa reported that she could do that.

Other Committees
Ed Conners is still in charge of the Observatory Committee.
John Marshall is still in charge of the website.
John Marshall requested pictures for the website from Blackwater Falls
and Greenbank.

Monthly Sky Events
Rodney reported on the moon’s drift, the new Nova in the sky next to Antares, and Saturn’s position in Leo in the North East.

Treasurer’s Report
from Rick Archer.
$4,300 in the bank including the CD’s.
$1,850 in ready cash.
Expenses last month
$160 for the Annual Meeting.
Income last month
$550 dues.
Rick requested a short board meeting after the regular meeting to propose a budget for the year.

Program
Ron Buckatew presented a program about the Oil Cloud and Kuiper belt.

By Laws Amendment
After the program, a vote was taken to have the Bylaws changed to have the club members directly elect the officers at the January annual meeting. Ed Conners made the motion to amend the bylaws and Rick Archer seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous by a show of 15 hands.
There were no other amendments or alternatives to the motion submitted.

Fundraising
Chuck Spann presented a new fundraising project, the raffle of a Dob telescope. Members were encouraged to sell tickets and the date for the drawing was tabled until next month.

Miscellaneous
Paul Daniels reported that the Boy Scouts at Mountaineer Gas were interested in working with our group on the astronomy merit badge.
